Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog revealed that he doesn't regret the statement he made during 22nd edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) 2021.
Yaw Tog, is a Ghanaian rapper who majors in drill music known in Ghana as Asakaa.
He is best known for his viral song ‘Sore’ which featured Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy on the remix.
Thorsten Owusu Gyimah popularly Known as Yaw Tog made a shocking Statement after he was awarded the
hit song, ‘Sore’, the best hip- hop song of the Year at the 22nd edition of the VGMA’s.
After he received the award, he made a statement which he acknowledged his haters.
He said,
“Good evening, everyone. CharterHouse, I really appreciate the award. Shout to you guys supporting the movement, Kumerica. Shout to my haters. Shouts to everybody, Charley".
This Statement has rised the eyebrows of every music lover across the country.
Currently, some Ghanaians are saying the statements he made has caused his music career to flop since he's not dropping a hit song.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dowsty at Joy FM, he was asked wether he has regretted the Statements he made at the VGMA after honouring the best hip-hop songs of the year.
He said, “I don’t regret making that statement on VGMA. I’m human; I’m just being real to myself & everything I do.”
According to him he has every right to say what ever he likes buh he's been real to the public since he's a human being.
